For students and adults alike, identifying emotions can be difficult. There is a basic difference between the way we process information and how we express it. It can be very easy to use words like anger and upset when talking about a problem but much more difficult to process it in writing. This is where a worksheet comes in handy. In this article, we will look at an Identifying Emotions Worksheet for Adults.

This worksheet is very basic and contains two rows for each of seven different “emotional states” that we experience. The first column will list your current feelings. Each row shows a different emotion from sadness to anger to fear or any other emotions you may experience. You can choose to label any emotion as “cold” if you have not had any negative feelings towards that particular feeling recently or you can choose to label any feeling as “warm”.

The second part of the worksheet consists of two rows for each of the seven different emotional states. On the first cell, you will have two boxes. Each box will tell you what emotion was felt and what you were thinking about prior to that feeling. You will also notice that the second row has two boxes instead of just one.

In order to complete the worksheet, you must identify the emotion as soon as you sense it. If you did not have any negative feelings towards a particular emotion, you would simply skip to the second box and note what you were doing or thinking before that feeling came on. This will help you recall it if you need to. If you did have some kind of negative experience recently, then you will probably have to read through the whole thing again to find your triggers. So, it is better to use this worksheet for adults because you can skip around to wherever you need to next.

The third part of the worksheet is comprised of two boxes, each describing a single emotion. You should make sure you write down all of the major emotions, but you may also want to write down the feelings associated with each emotion. For example, you may feel angry when you are in debt, but you may also associate that feeling with being late for work. The worksheet will be a great way to remember what these associations are for future reference.

After you have listed all of the major emotions, you need to create a sentence that will help describe each of them. For instance, if you are having trouble identifying emotions, then you might want to write down the first emotion you experienced during your first five years of school (anger). The second sentence, you can type in after that is something like “I am having trouble identifying my anger.” This sentence will give you the general feeling associated with anger, such as sadness or happiness. Then, you just repeat the second sentence for the other five feelings. This is a great way to list them all and use words that you associate with them.

The last part of the worksheet will be a descriptive sentence for describing your feelings and the feelings associated with the event. If you are having problems identifying your anger at three hours ago, you might write “I am having trouble identifying my anger at three hours ago.” Be sure to make sure that the description of your feeling fits the event accurately and does not leave anything out. You do not want to describe your feelings after the fact, but you might want to mention how you felt before the event happened, such as a sense of dread or worry.
