French and Indian War Worksheet

The French and Indian War was a major event in world history. The French and Indian War occurred between 1761 and 17 63 in North America. At this time, France and Britain were still at war in Europe, but yet the war had largely spread to North America, where both colonies were located. In this war, Britain would lose more territories in North America than at any other time during their history.

The outcome of this war was very devastating for Britain and France. Britain lost half its population, while France was left with almost one-third of its original territory. It took until after the Seven Years War for the British to regain control of Canada. The American colonies gained independence from England in 17 77. French and Indian War Worksheet History indicates that there were actually seven years’ worth of fighting between British and French soldiers.

What is interesting about this history is that both the British and the French had an advantage up until the Seven Years War, since they each had around four hours of daylight during the day and only two hours of darkness. However, once the British realized that they were losing ground on the battlefield, they began making significant improvements to their weaponry and equipment, such as trench guns, which allowed them to dig in and make quick attacks. During this period of great conflict, the French began to use a new strategy which was to occupy areas of water on the perimeter of the British colonies so that they would be less likely to fight. For example, a series of battles took place at the mouth of the Saint Lawrence River where French troops would wait for the British to surrender and then capture these areas for use by the British Army.

In order to avoid this, the British began digging out their cannons and other equipment before battles commenced, such as the First Battle of Boston. However, it was not until the American Revolutionary War that the French came out of their shell and actually tried to help America out. In 1780, General George Washington wrote a letter to the French asking them to send more troops to the American colonies. He wrote that the French had sent only six thousand men, which he considered to be an inadequate number for the burgeoning American nation. Washington also asked the French to stop sending troops into areas that the United States was already in control of.

This letter was to prove quite helpful, especially because it contained three very important ideas: use words from French for English words; explain the relationship between France and India; , and ask the French for help with the American Revolution. When Washington wrote these letters, he was twenty-nine years old and he was already famous, having been a military hero during the American Revolution and later being a president of the United States. By using French and Indian War Worksheets to create vocabulary and verb lists, it would have been easy to create a whole new language. However, this is not what was done. Instead, what happened was that the military created its own language, the American English, which began to take shape in the nineteenth century.

There are two main ways that you can use words from French and Indian languages in your American English sentence structure. You can use words from French for nouns, as in “A beautiful woman wearing French clothes”, or you can use words from French for verbs, as in “I walked across the street”. The main difference here is that you must convert one noun into a verb, and you must transform each verb into a noun. Although it is easier to convert one French word into an English word than it is to convert one French word to an English verb, this is the process you will use for each separate part of the essay.

The next step is to translate each phrase or sentence into the necessary verb tense. For example, instead of writing “The old man made the fort”, you will translate it to “The old man made the fort today” The problem with this is that the sentence could be written as “The old man made the fort yesterday” This is obviously incorrect, and you will want to replace the “old” with a “thing” or “person” in order to make the sentence correctly. Once you have written the sentence, you can look up the word for the right verb tense from your French and Indian War Worksheet. This is also an excellent way to check your grammar skills and verify that the sentence is correct.

On each line, you will be given a list of words from French and Indian languages that you will need to translate into English. Again, verify each word’s meaning from your French and Indian Worksheet, and you should be able to translate each sentence into the correct tense.
