The five-step process is beneficial in more ways than one.

One other goal of the process is to instill the concept of learning to consider the safety of the child at all times. That is, there should be no children allowed to be disruptive at any time. Children should not be supervised to any great degree, no children allowed to wander at will, and the people supervising children should have minimum training on how to keep children safe and secure.
