These two fundamental principles can be explained as a very simple statement of reality and why people may behave as they do. The two fundamental principles are called ‘Common Valuation’Confidence in Belief’.

The ‘Common Valuation’ is the baseline level for understanding the system of Proportional and Nonproportional relationships. Any change in one variable will result in the other changing, which is exactly what happens in the real world. The ‘common valuation’ is not a fixed number. It is a constant quantity that we must all agree on.

Confidence in Belief is a high, fixed number that makes it impossible to change. If you don’t believe that a change has been made, it cannot be changed. This is important to note because it helps us understand that we cannot manipulate something until we have confidence in the belief that the change has been made. As long as the ‘confidence in the belief’ is high, it is unlikely that the change will be made.

Now we can understand the first principle that governs the relationship between variables. We know that the values of the variables are fixed and they cannot be changed. There are only two ways that we can move values from one place to another. We can make a change in one variable or we can make a change in two or more variables.

In situations where there are two or more variables, there are two ways to make a change. We can either make a change in one variable or we can make a change in two or more variables. A variable is always different from its two neighbors. The values of the variables can be altered by just one of them making a change.

Different values of variables can have different ‘Averages’. The Average is the sum of the differences of the Variables. If you add up the difference of two of the variables, the sum is your Average. If you divide the difference between the two variables, the Average is the same as the sum. If you multiply the two, you get the average.

Perceptual and Probability values are created using a process known as ‘Percentile’. Perceptual and Probability values are calculated using the values of the variables. However, if the same values of the variables are entered into the Perceptual and Probability worksheet, then the result will be the same for all the results produced.
